Who we are

Why we make these

We’re Deni and Helen, a husband and wife in Longueuil, Quebec, and Plucky Pet is ours. We love cats, and we make these canvases together. We draw cats doing what cats actually do, and every scene has to pass one question: would the person who lives with this cat recognise her in it? We would rather make a small number of things worth keeping than one of everything.

A print made for her, not pulled off a shelf.

Because it already happened in your home. We draw what cats actually do, not cats dressed up as people.

Questions

Before you order.

Is the frame included?
Only if you choose a frame. The canvas is always on stretcher bars, sold without a frame or with a floater frame in black, white, natural or brown. The framed price for each size is in the price list above.
Damaged, misprinted or lost
If your canvas arrives damaged or misprinted, write to us within 48 hours of delivery. Send four photos: the whole piece, the back, the damage up close, and the shipping label. If your parcel has not arrived, write to us too. We can report a parcel lost about 14 working days after it ships. If we accept a claim for damage or a misprint, you choose what happens next. We reprint your canvas at no cost to you, or we refund it in full.
My cat isn't one of the nine coats
Pick the closest one. If none is close, write to us and tell us about her.
Can I return or cancel it?
We can’t take back a made-to-order item. No canvas is printed before you order it. That is why none can go back on a shelf. One with the coat you selected and your words on it can’t be sold to anyone else. If we got the coat you selected or your text wrong, write to us. We read every message. Changed your mind before we print? Write to us within 6 hours of ordering and we will cancel it and refund you in full. After that the file may already be with the printer. Write to us anyway — if it has not gone to production, we can still cancel it.
