The same cat

The cat in these prints owns the room.

She did not start there — no cat does. That is what the journal below is about, and it is why the shop and the writing live on the same page.

From the journal
A tabby cat sitting inside an open cardboard box on a sofa, looking up, lit by warm afternoon light.
Her own place

How to choose a cat cave for a shy cat (start with a cardboard box)

What matters in a covered bed when your cat hides all day — and the 10-second test most beds fail.

Close-up of a tabby cat's face with both eyes half-closed in a slow blink, warm amber tones against a dark background.
Reading her

Cat slow blink: what it means and how to blink back

What a cat's slow blink actually means, why behaviourists call it the cat kiss, and how to slow-blink back without ruining it.

A ginger cat's paw resting in an open human hand, palm up and still, on a cream sheet — she reached out first.
Earning her trust

How to earn a scared cat's trust (without forcing anything)

You can't make a scared cat trust you — but you can make trusting you the easiest choice in the room. The consent-based way.

The register

“Mine does exactly that.”

That is the only reaction we are after. We do not dress cats as people and we do not put words in their mouths. We draw the behaviour, as it is — and the behaviour is already funny.

Why we make these

Braver every day.

A cat decides which room is hers, which chair, which half of the keyboard. Watching her decide is most of what living with a cat actually is — and almost none of it gets kept. We keep it.

01

She chooses the house

A sink, a sill, the warm half of the keyboard. She picks, and the house arranges itself around her.

02

She does it again

Every day, at the same hour, with the same seriousness. That is how a habit becomes a character.

03

We draw it as it is

With affection and without mockery. No costumes, no words in her mouth, nothing she did not do.
